You better strap yourself into the chair for this next story because you're going to be shocked. And if I were you I'd have the nitroglycerin capsules handy. You've all heard about the plot of Double Indemnity, the movie. Well, this one goes that plot one better. People are used to the concept of a company providing health care for its employees. That way in case of industrial accident or something, an undue burden is not placed on the family. But over the past twenty odd years, what you don't know is that it's been routine for business to take out whole life insurance policies on their employees, in total secrecy. The employee victin doesn't apparently even need to take a physical, because of the way congress under Ronald Reagan rewrote the laws. And the company also can use equity in those policies to do with whatever it wishes, and tax free. They can do tax defered investments, or they can use that money to take out more whole life policies on yet other customers. Not only this but the Face Value of the policy is tax free for the company after you die. The people you work for are betting literally on your death. And it doesn't even matter whether or not you are still working there. People will say that taking out a policy on total strangers or neighbors or whoever is patently illeagal due to the obvious conflict of interest, like if your neighbor were to accidently fall off his roof putting up his antenna. But they changed all the laws to make everying OK and legal. It's truely an upside down moral world we live in. People's personalities are turned on their head. The ID now reigns supreme and the "Adult" is compelled to do the bidding of the ID and as for the superego, that is dead and burried. And so it has been since Reagan.
The Obama administration still wants to micro-manage everybody's lives. Now they even want to nationally legeslate a few extra weeks to the school year, so that our kids don't fall academically behind other nations like Japan. Also they want other federal laws passed like a national anti texting while driving law. Apparencly recently they have moved to ban flavored cigarettes so that children are not tempted to start smoking. And now they want to put volume governors on I Pods and other listening devices so that people won't go deaf, like they did recently in the E U. They think people are so stupid they can't watch for those things themselves. Of course some places have laws that resturants post caleries on all of their menu items. And they banned the use of trans fats in frying. People in Washington apparently think we all must be stupid, as if their record on Capitol Hill was so brilliant.
President Obama went to Helsinki to try and get the 2016 Olympics for Chicago, even though people in Chicago only narrowly favor even hosting the Olympics by a vote of 47 to 45 percent. This is hardly a mandate. And there are protests groups in Chicago actively opposing bringing the Olympics to Chicago, but instead having them in Rio de Jenero. This would be the first time a South American country hosted the Olympics. Apparently this decision will be coming any day now.
Sarah Palin has an autobiographical book out already. One wonders how she had the time to even write a book so quickly because she only resigned as Alaska's governor two months ago, in late July. It's called "Going Rogue - An American Life" or something. Palin filed forty vendetta charges against one Trooper she had a grudge against, and the thing was thrown out of Court. These are bizzare times when ex Vice Presidents, and even Vice Presidents on losing tickets can afford so much sway with the media. It would seem that Sarah Palin's campaign for President in 2012 is already in full swing.
People may think I am inalterably opposed to the idea of an After Life. All I've really said is that we don't know what happens to our consciousness after you die. And to make plans on what we don't know that interfere with the enjoyment of this life - - makes absolutely no sense to me. There are logical alternatives to Heaven, or Hell. Have you considered that this whole life we are living might be a long, elaborate dream dreamed by a Higher form of Life? It's something to consider. Born Again Christians take it as an immovable item of faith that reincarnation can't possibly occur and they point to examples of it being really stupid. How much "stupider" are these examples than the idea of going to Heaven, which the Bible tells us virtually nothing about in terms of hard facts. Name almost any comon belief about Heaven and it's probably not supported by one verse in the Bible. Scientologists have been very interested in the en-grams of small children, and even the unborn. People who have studied the matter have determined that even newborn babies have definite personalities. Their mental "cognition" is much more complex than we formerly supposed. If our personality is in our genes, how come identical twins often have very different personalities? How to small children gain their "self identity" so quickly. Why do small children have such fixed beliefs about certain things adults might regard as "silly". These could include belief in ghosts or possibly reincarnation menories or odd references to other people and other places where they haven't been. At the other end of life - - venturing beyond is a little harder to demonstrate. I quoted the Jimi Hendrix life of "There ain't no life nowhere", which is a double-negative, which means there is life Everywhere. In our frame of being, proving "Nothingness" in a positive sense of "experiancing" it, is a little tricky. Some of the earliest references to the beliefs of the Orion Federation alude to a belief in Osirus, king of the Underworld. As such the Federations claims to have conquered Death, but I really can't say how. If you stay alive forever as a living Will energy force, then like water acting on rock, you can in time sculpt your own future. It's always possible, of course, that this life is all there is. However Born Again Christians use terms such as "dying to self" where a living person is supposedly to think of himself as dead. This injunction of Born Agains more resembles something Charles Manson would say, whether than mentally sound psychology. Also they want to put a "start date" on your existance. The motive here is as old as the Chinese. They want to "pre-date" you in time, so that THEY will forever be superior to you in time. The whole of assigning a fixed date for the Beginning of your life is one step closser to turning yourself into just another one of their "lab projects" where they can fanticize that they Created you.
