Chris Matthews is crying in his beer because Mitt Romney decided to give him a taste of his own medicine by exposing the truth about him for the people of Iowa to see.  And so it is written that he who lives by the political attack will die by the political attack.  (Selah)


Some people charish people and use money.  Other people, who will go unnamed, charish money and use People


The KKK official worships a blonde haired blue eyed Jesus.  The tea party Christian has a big picture of Ronald Reagan hanging up in his living room.  The Roman Cardinal bows at the feet of the Pope whom he refers to as the Vicar of Christ.  But of all these examples, it's the lonely G I far from home with a pin up picture of Jennifer Lopez who most likely will be the one accused of Idolitry.


Some people like Newt Gingrich believe its preferable to be strong and wrong, as opposed to weak and right.  My biggest failing as a Christian was that I made God the center of what I was saying.  I preached God rather than myself.  This was a fatal mistake.  As such I admit too often "My Best" was not good enough, but in the words of Captain Queeg, 'Was only a maximum of inefficiency".  I failed when I was a Christian at being an oppertunistic, manipulative hypocrite devoid of any moral compass.

It would seem that we have something almost unheard of in any recent political primary and that is a three way tie between Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney.  But the concencus is that neither Paul nor Santorum have the staying power or deep roots organization to stay in it for the long haul.  I think for any same person with a gun to his head and forced to chose one, Mitt Romney is your choice.  He doesn't want to slash taxes as deeply as any of the others.  Clearly some of the lurid details described by Thom Hartman and other liberals just aren't borne out in fact as far as bankrupting five corporations or any of those other financial slip shod guimics Romney is accused of employing.  Clearly Romney has helped certain corporations such as Dominos Pizza, Staples, and Dunkin Donuts.  Also clearly that when any business is in trouble cuts are necessarily going to be made and employees laid off.  It's a tribute to Mitt Romney to do as well in Iowa as he has done since sixty percent of the people are Evangelicals and 39% are over age sixty or something awful like that.  Prejudice even in this day against Mormons is enormous.  Personally if forced to choose ten random times between a Mormon and an Evangelical, I'd pick the Mormon every time even if my brain were subjected to a "memory wipe" after each prior choice.  Mormons have the sort of human compassion and personal credibility that other religions sorely lack.  Utah also scores high on Hartman's demographc income tally with less disparity between the rich and poor and a lower incidence of social ills of all sort.

Rick Santorum is a man who has voted for certain boondoggles such as the "Bridge to Nowhere".  Like Gingrich he seems to believe that somehow losing his last election somehow especially qualifies him to hold the office of President.  Santorum has really strong anti gay credentials.  I'll give him that.  Rick Santorum believes Griswald verses Conn. was wrongly decided in 1965 and that nobody has an inherent right to “privacy” to commit illegal acts.  I see nowhere in the constitution that allows a cloak of privacy for illegal acts.  Neither do I find the unqualified “right to contract” some Courts say exists.  Often the two go hand in hand.  You will remember from history that the "right to contract" Justices say was in the US Constitution was used as a justification for things like permitting child labor, banning minimum wages, and saying that any sort of labor union was illegal.  Some Christians have said we should "trust our employers to do right by us because they are decent people".   Certain Christians will get downright indignent about this whole topic.   If there is anything we have learned that laws based on "trust" just don't work in certain circumstances.   Barry Goldwater said we should "trust" southern businesses to admit blacks.  That didn't happen.  That Griswald case opened the door for the abortion ruling to follow.  Still I think Santorum is going to find it a hard call that women cant use birth control pills or that men can’t use condoms in having sex even in the confines of their own bedrooms with their wives.  But if he wants to be a dingbat on this issue, then who am I to stop the self destruction of yet another Presidential candidate?  I just watched Santorum on Meet the Press.  He personally favors banning abortions even in case of rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother.  But he’s willing to “compromise” on these issues if it promotes a bigger conservative program.  Santorum has pointed out that just about anything even a little bit liberal he’s voted for was to further a bigger conservative agenda.  I agree with Santorum for criticizing the President in not supporting the Democracy movement in Iran or not speaking up after that fradulant election they had in June of 2009 where bogus figures said that Amadenajad won by 62%   Democrats should be really happy at this point that Rick Santorum is the best the other side can come up with.  It will give me enormous pleasure to listen to Newt Gingrich’s withdrawal speech tomorrow.


Mitt Romney at least gives a tip of the hat to the theory of global warming.  It is my hope that if he ever becomes president he will return to his former senses on this issue.  Clearly things that are occurring now are not normal such as tornadoes in the dead of winter, or chunks of ice the size of Rhode Island breaking off into the Atlantic, or even the flookish warm weather many people in the midwest and east enjoyed up till a few days ago when temperatures suddenly dropped thirty degrees "back to normal" for this time of year.  I observed in looking at record highs and lows just in Los Angeles that one can generalize that the record High's generally occurred within the past few years, whereas the record Lows occurred earlier in the last century.  Today there was a 4.0 earthquake in Ohio that is directly attributable to the "fracking" that is going on there.  Now there is talk about people's drinking water catching fire.  This whole Canadian to Texas pipeline will transport crude oil of the most dirty sort.  By the time it gets completed the oil will be obsolete because by then we will have developed other energy sources that are fast coming on line even as we speak.  I think fundamentalists distrust Romney because they darkly suspect that while he may have one eye on the tea party the other eye is on the Future and the interests and necessities of modern America in the 21st Century.  Also either Santorum or Gingrich would in the end have a really tough sell to convince anybody that they are somehow NOT "Washington insiders".  At least if they are going to put up a candidate, he should at least have some vestage of sanity, and Romney has this.

The big scene in the soap opera still remains Marlena and grandson Will.  Marlena is making a big mistake in defending Sammy the way she is.  Sammy has screwed up her life at every turn and hurt a lot of people, and every time she’s had a choice she has made the wrong one, including today’s choice of criminal espionage, when it’s right there in a previous contract she won’t steal information.  Let’s restate the narrative here.  Sammy had disappeared right in the middle of a crisis involving her missing son and she had turned her cell phone off.  (Which is strange behavior for someone awaiting news about a lost boy)  She then goes to E J’s house and they have passionate sex and she dreams about it every night.  Will goes to E J’s house to tell him that his son was found alive, and steps in the door and sees his mother and E J engaged in passionate love making.  They never even know he’s there.  .Forget about Marlena’s rationalization about her daughter and Will’s mother for a moment.  First of all short of a Vulcan mind meld, objectively - there is no way Marlena could possibly know what was going on in Samantha’s mind.  Has she pondered the effect of her “apologetic” attitude (what a misuse of the word!) tword her daughter’s affair with E J will have on Will.  He came to her because he had a secret and needed to confide it and needed a friend to take up his side.  This affair wasn’t some case of a strange “emotional lapse” caused by stress or something.  Neither was it some quiet thing where the two are just lying down nest to each other and before you know it they have their arms around each other and nature takes its course.  Rather – this was passionate “rip your clothes off” sex with a lot of pent up sexual desire.  Marlena denied him that and in turn was almost saying “Go ahead Will, do something desperate”.  The first person I’d go to is my father, Lucas.  Secondly I would confront my mother directly and put the fear of God into her.  But the biggest bucket of crap Marlena dumped on will was when she said “if you won’t forgive her, you’re no better than she is”.  That’s such theological Christian crap, and personally I know it’s damaging to be exposed to that kind of blatant blame shifting.  Marlena it seems will forgive (or deny altogether) Samantha’s sin, but she won’t forgive Will unless he ignores the entire things and pretends it never happened.

Judy was carrying on the whole time ponthicating about her "Values" we should all adopt.  There are four that are almost burned into my psyche by now and these are "Never desire something from someone else that you didn't Earn" - "Always be responsible for the consequences of your own actions"  "People are always in it for the Profit to see how much they can earn, and this is natural and normal" and "Never be in a position of owing anybody anything".    While I may agree with these principles to a point, I believe Judy developes extreme "tunnel vision" on these matters.  For instance I believe there are certain things money can't buy, and among these are love, respect, just and above all Moral Character.  Here is where Judy would seem to disagree.  She still regards Newt Gingrich as the most supremely qualified man to be President in the whole country.   Clearly there are things money should NEVER be able to buy such as the subberting on justice, and whether a certain law gets passed or not.  Judy even attacks these "Buy American" slogans because she says they are contrary to the "human profit motive".   Mom and I were attacked when we spoke of the virtues of thinking positively about the economy and America.  I got to thinking about things money shouldn't be able to buy, like someone taking your SAT test for you.  But I'm wondering if these Principles are really sacrosanct with Judy, where does that leave Jesus and Christianity?  Jesus said if your rich it would be very hard to get into heaven.  Jesus said "Blessed are the poor".  He didn't curse them as a bunch of unwashed hippies and closet Marxists who want what isn't theirs, the way Judy does.  As for Jesus dying for our sins- - what is THAT for if not to somehow "buy" us a way out of the consequences of our own actions.  And by the way speaking of things money shouldn't be able to buy- - what about this guy being paid to take other people's SAT tests?  There is "capitalism" at work.  But you never think about the students that didn't get in to college because others cheated.  And personally I don't look foreward to one bit arriving at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, only to be told by St. Peter that my place in heaven has been taken up by Tex Watson or Ted Bundy because they had more faith than I did.  Also in the parable of the Workers of the Vinyard, is Rick Perry equally determined to bring Jesus up on charges of Treason because he put "printing press money" in circulation and inflated the economy?  What about Harvard or these universities where you are favored if your father or grandfather attended there?  What court will rule against that?   And if the decision of the Court a hundred years ago about "the right to contract for labor" is sacrosanct, does that mean that drugs, prostitution, and mafia neckties are now OK in America?  And if Clarence Thomas is so down on the idea of racial quotas now after having beneted from them in his Youth- - if he were really a man of character, he would step down from the Supreme Court as a man who had demonstrated repeatedly in MY oppinion that he is NOT qualified for that post and LACKS what they refer to as a "Judicial temperment".  Some would protest "Well gee it would take an awful lot of Character for someone to volentarily do that on his own?  Well guess what.  I would EXPECT supreme court justices to HAVE just such character?   The problem with Judy is she's suffering from an extreme form of moral Tunnel Vision, and in Dr. Phil terms - - he criticizes Teenagers for NOT being able to forecast the consequences of their own decisions if he did A or did B. We the voters have to reason these things out for ourselves, for now we are the ones "who have to be the adult in the room"  (Selah)

Getting Perspective on Things

It's difficult to overstate the degree of detatchment these right wingers have become from reality.  Two weeks ago one individual told me when I asked about the Clinton economic robustness said, "Well back then we were still profitting from all the investments business had done during the Ronald Reagan era.  They say that business investments typically last twenty years".  I don't know who "they" is but I never heard that.  This statement ignored the fact that Bush lost the election in 1992 because the country then was not emerging quickly enough from a lengthly recession.  Rush Limbaugh back then was bemoaning all the doom and gloomsters.  In his book he even mentions "I'm tired of every Thanksgiving hearing how they don't expect this Christmas season to be a good one for confsumers".  Interestingly Rush also said in his first book "the middle class of over-taxed".  He's sure not saying that now.  Rush in his book, "The Way Things Ought to Be" said the national symbol for this country ought to be a pig with all the little piglets sucking at the government teats, referring to the poor.  Rush hated the poor back then.  There are numerous references in his book to the news of the day such as Anita Hill, and Rodney King, and Magic Johnson and AIDS.  Rush wasn't at all sympathetic twords people with AIDS.  He also advocated strongly in his book Against condom use.  There was the usual hatred of animal rights people and environmentalists in general.  And of course his feminist update song back then was that Sandy Posey song of "If you're born a woman, you're born to be Hurt", and Rush wanted to make you understand the word was indeed "Hurt".  Oddly there wasn't that much in his book about cutting taxes and particularly cutting taxes on the rich.  Now things are so strange that people remember  the economy improving under Clinton because Newt Gingrich got Clinton to cut business taxes and taxes in general.  Of course Clinton RAISED the top income tax level just Before the economic revovery began.  Rush a year or so Before the recovery began, was predicting a Clinton recession.  How many times can one man be wrong and still be listened to?  Last Saturday at my Mom's at the table my Mom said "If you ask me what I believe, I feel that the economy is picking up right now and that it will continue to pick up more".  I amplified on these sentaments saying that people would have money to spend, and therefore buy more things and therefore those who produce the things would hire on new workers, would have more money.  You have seldom seen Judy more insensed than this doctrine of Hope that I espoused this day.  To her America is doomed.  Of course she had predicted dire things in our future.  I asked her 'How does Newt Gingrich or any nominee propose to sell this notion of gloom and doom to the nation".  Judy just said, "The American people will understand because Newt Gingrich is a man who inspires confidence.  Judy prefers Newt because he has more experianced leadership and is a more carismatic speaker than Santaurum.  The reality that Newt is going down in flames in Iowa even as we speak and is in fact in fourth or fifth place now doesn't bother her.  Judy says there is a vast conspiracy in the media both to attack Newt Gingrich, and also to make President Obama look good and to prime him for reelection by planting all of these bogus favorable economic stories in the news.  I don't even think she realises the utter lunacy of what she is proposing is happening.  If these sorts of explanations are all the tea party can muster, then the movement is indeed doomed.  Some have tried to rationalize that "every Presidential year has good news".  1992 didn't have good news.  2000 was looking a little green around the gills by year's end.  The so called dot com bubble may have been the first biproduct of the recent laxing of Wall Street regulations.  And 2008 certainly did not look good.  So this argument just won't fly.  The reason why the media is saying things look better is because they ARE improving.  Saturday I came out and said the Right is hoping and praying for some crisis, like in Iran, to styfle this economy.  And I also said that I don't believe it's psychologically healthy to rout for your own country's demise.

Rick Santaurum may win Iowa now since he has risen so metiorically in the polls these past few weeks.  Right now it looks like a three way tie between Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santaurum.  However Romney appears to be fading just a bit.  Of course Michelle Bachman's chief campaign aid jumped ship and went over to Bachman, and so this may turn the tide in Paul's favor.  This is on top of the fact that Democrats can switch parties to vote in the caucuses and the libertarian democrats will turn out to vote for Ron Paul, and I think this factor will propel him to first place.  None of the other Republicans will like that but it's going to be something they will have to live with.

In case you are wondering, Glen Beck is gone but his beliefs live on.  The tea party right is still sticking to the marritive that President Obama has secretly surrounded himself with redicals such as Bill Ayres, whom he has secretly appointed to influencial positions without congress' concent.  The plan is still to "wreck" this economy and foment riots in the streets and utter chaos, and the outcome of that will be that "the people" will demand economic Socialism, which will be instituted.  They still to President Obama's speech in Kansas as a "Marxist manifesto".  They regard labor unions as evil.  They regard Teddy Roosevelt as a radical, despite the fact that conservative Taft, who followed him into the White House, pressed just as hard to break up corporate Trusts.  I also reminded Judy that bond yields actually went DOWN after the attempted debt crisis instigated by the republicans.  She didn't get it.  To her Down is Up.  There is continued talk of how the United States has always been a Christian nation and "National Days of Prayer" used to be called by government all the time, and that Congress used to be in the business of printing of Bibles.  Of course they believe that this country has a covenent with God and if we break that covenent with God, then God will punish us with all the plagues enumerated in Deuteronomy.  Of course I don't need to tell you what they think of the Occupy Wall Street movement.  They continue to talk about President Obama and the Occupy people of "Stealing from the real producers in this country".  There was talk about how   C E O's are worth every penny of their high salaries because they are such rare and tallented people who are exceptionally hard workers and bear an enormous responsability, for which they should receive just compensation.  Rush Limbaugh in his book predicted that Abortion would be the next big issue to come to the fore in this land and that it would become the basis of "The next Civil War".  At some point I asked why it was that President Obama is so hated above any and all other US Presidents.  I didn't date even broach the idea that it's because he's Black.

There was talk about the Supreme Court having too much power, and it does.  The Supreme Court was never intended to have the power to render laws passed by Congress as Unconstitutional.  Oddly Rush in his book saves some of his worth wrath for congress.  If Rush read his constitution he would realize that congress and particularly the House was meant to have the most direct power in that all 435 House members have to go before the voters for approval every two years.  But I know enough about the right to realize if they ever found that they agreed with Thom Hartman on anything, they would alter their position so that they did NOT agree with him.  My guess is that Ron Paul would be sympathetic to some sort of move to prohibit the Supreme Court from declaring laws passed by Congress in accordance with constitutional procedure- - as themselves Unconstitutional.  Judy says that property is an extension of People and therefore Corporations are people, and the Supreme Court agrees.  But no congress or any executive has ever agreed with this radical view that flies in the face of one hundred years of their own decisions.  (Selah)

The Four Archangels

In Jewish loore there are Four Archangels.  Uriel is the angel of lights and perfections, controler of Insights and the sacred stones of the Urem and the Thumin, by which secret texts are said to be read.  In Romulan culture they too have some allusion to four archangels.  Gabriel is sometimes applied to Janis or the "keeper of the gate" who blows the Trumpet in the last day and is the angel of gates and doors, who will signal the Last Judgement of planet earth.  Michael is the war diety of the Jewish Nation in classic times.  It is said by many that Jehovah himself IS the Archangel Michael and has in fact appeared on earth and talked with Adam and Abraham and Enoch.  He is also the deity of money and materialism and gold.  Then we have Raphael, who is the Angel of healing and reconciliation and who is prayed to by man for intercession.  One may add the famed Fifth Angel to this list, who is not Charles Manson, but the god of Death nontheless, in the guise of Osirus, who is ironically also the god of renual and growth and greenery.  Whether Osirus appears at the top of a cosmic pyramid or at the bottom of an inverted pyramid is up to your own Cosmic perception.  Osirus is the guy who gives 3 D psychic depth to life and is the one who expands human existance beyond its perceived human confines.  They say "You can't take it with you" but another says "You CAN take it with you, once you know the plan".  The cosmic truth is this "If it's Yours, then you're STUCK with it whether you want it or not.  Sin is not to be somehow "compartmentalized" into a thing using Clintonesque reason.  Sin is not like some old regrets and resentments that you can shove into some cosmic trash compacter down to the shape of a rock, which you keep in your pocket, till one night when no one is looking you walk out on to the Huntington Beach pier and toss it into the ocean, with the ease that Samantha Brady tosses a gun into the Salem River after damn near offing her Husband.  (Selah)


The following story never happened.  Once upon a time there was a girl named Samantha.  One time she almost married a guy named Franko Kelly.  In fact they were shacked up together for a while in northern Mexico in the little town of Los Cajones.  Franko there had two children who are products of invetro furtelization of cosmic zygotes.  But one day the kids were acting up just a little too much and when Franko got home Samantha was waiting there with a gun to waste him.  But the courts got her off to the intervention of Samantha's future mother in law named Cassey who seemed to appear out of nowhere like Annie Wilks, or something.  It's one of those cases of owing someone everything yet at the same time wishing you had never met them.  After this things went back to normal and Samantha took up with a sailor in San Diego named Lucas, of the house of Skywalker.  Lucas was a good man.  Samantha and Lucas' mother got along famously.  But then one day Lucas mother suggested that after Lucas got out of the navy that she had a job for him lined up embalming and then stuffing dead birds and selling them at Bates Curios there in downtown Eugene, Oregon.  This wasn't the life Samantha had envisioned for herself.  So instead she enroled in UCLA and decided to major in Computer Hacking, which she did very well in.  But then one horrible day she met Cassy's son, Elvis.  He seemed like a nice boy and all even if he was a little stuck on himself.  But now she had no choice but to marry him in fulfilment of her deal with Cassey.  But she would still meet Lucas secretly on those occasions when he could get away from his mother.  He would borrow a twin engine plane piloted by William Holden who enjoyed wearing Newyears eve Tuxedos in a driving rain storm while piloting the plane.  Later on when Elvis developed an alcohol problem he would go on drunk rants saying that their son, Austin, was really fathered by Lucas and not Elvis.  All went well untill the late summer of 1965 when Elvis found out the Truth about the paternity of his eldest son.  Elvis began having stomach problems and resorted to alcohol to first quell the pain and after he got his ulcer he quit for a while but then started again.  And then he got so depressed he began drinking more and then a doctor put him on Zoloft and Prozac.  All went well except of course Elvis' whole personality got completely screwed up.  He lost all ambition for advancement at his job and he quit all the Church Involvement that had been such a prominent feature previously.  A few years after Austin was born  Lucas fathered a daughter named Kathy.  But Kathy's mother, maiden name Bonnie Lockhart was an addicted gambler and Lucas grew disgusted and divorced her and married another woman.  But Bonnie put a hex on Lucas and Lucas was told that he had to blackmail certain people to keep certain information quiet and pay her money to her to finance her gambling addiction.  And she had the power to make it happen.  But then Alice Horton found out about it and sent Elvis a letter and told him about it.  But Raphael grew angry with Alice and struck her with senility and then death for her action that would cause pain to so many.  So the moral of the story is "Don't go washing your dirty underwear in public especially if you stole it off someone elses' clothesline to begin with".

It has become clear that people on the political fence need no longer consider voting for Mitt Romney because I am not convinced that President Obama is the most qualified man to lead this troubled nation out of this seemingly unending economic recession.  The President has proven himself a skilled and adept leader who has made all of the right moves as far as the economy is concerned.  The economy would be in even better shape now had congress passed the President's extensive jobs bill proposals of last September, which would ease the fiscal strain on local governments and enable vital services such as police and fire to be maintained and also to preserve jobs.  Mit Romney had a choice in this campaign and unfortunately it has become clear from my extensive following of the Romney campaign that he has made the wrong choice.  Mitt Romney has chosen to so allign himself with the tea party that he desires above all things to become "one of them" and accepted by the group at large as such.  Mitt Romney's solution metaphorically to a report of frayed electrical wiring in a home is to take gasoline and torch the whole house.  This "let it burn" philosophy is particularly evident in his policy twords collapsing real estate prices, which has become a major crisis in America.  His view is to somehow "flush out the problem" by expelling current occupants from their homes, which in turn will be bought up for pennies on the dollar and used for some shall we say "more lucritive" tax oppertunity for big cities.  The cost in individual human lives or the adverse economic ripple effects of such an action has been ignored by Mit Romney, who believes above all things to Privitize everything.  Some have argued that if we could lower business taxes low enough we could somehow repatriate foreign money back to this country.  Some have also argued that the elimination of any number of business taxes such as interest income and capital gains and inheritence, would spur business.  You can't raise a sick person from his bed by telling him if he gets up he'll never have to work again, as if that news would somehow encourage him to do what he inherently lacks the fortitude to do.  We are already virtually paying international corporations to steal our money and not pay it back.  We know there word is no good when they promise to do things such as make loans to small business owners wanting a leg up.  We don't know what happened to the money the Fed gave away in the September 2008 deboccle.  Neither can our problem be solved by returning to the gold standard and even buying gold and silver is tantamount to monetery suicide as this point as these metals have become vastly overpriced to to hysterical speculative investments.  Nobody in government has the will to pass needed regulatory laws against fraudulant investment schemes or any sort of regulations encouraging the purchase of American goods over foreign ones.  Too many on the right in fact reguard Communist China as an ideal economic model of a nation which "is doing it right" by offering their workers few rights and nearly as few environmental regulations.  They see nothing wrong with the wholesale violation of civil liberties in that country but instead would in general pose China as a model to be followed in this nation.  While the President's own record has not been pristine in these matters, his record has been far preferable to any of the alternatives.  As for the US dollar it has shown signs of ongoing stability and reliability, with little danger of either inflation, rise in interest rates, or devaluation in comparrison to other countries.  Indeed the tea party right seem to be at every turn encouraging and enabeling the very economic deboccle they profess to dread, in that they are among the worst offenders in boosting our enemies at every oppertunity while trashing the American ecconomy and by inference, the American people at large, whom they seem to have no reguard for the welfare of.  Clearly all of these things should be brought to light in the fall Presidential campaign.  As to the dreaded "oil crisis" this is for the most part non existant.  But the tea party will try to fan the fires of non existent events in a last ditch effort to foment a crisis and torpedo this economy.  The US self sufficiency picture hasn't looked this rosey in a long time and it shows every indication of continuing.

Two probes the size of washing machines are being sent to the moon, to see if Tide has its normal sudsing action there.  The arsonist who struck in Hollywood on Thursday night moved north to the Valley on Friday night as police take steps to pin down the culpret.  Cops now claim to have equipment to pin point the source of shots fired on Newyears Eve.  My hunch is that they use a divining rod.  ( ) This is December 31, 2011 and Eye Witness News is on now.  Since I got out of the car the temperature dropped about fifteen degrees.  I wwas getting warm at Mom’s place in that thin sweater and was even hotter in the car when the windows didn’t open.  Pete turned on the AC.  But when I got here Bill said he was cold and the building was amazingly cool.  I was surprised at how little time I had to smoke a “re entry” cigarette before dinner.  We had Ravioli and a green salad and garlic bread with applesauce for desert.  I’ll be putting on coffee very shortly.  Only Andrew was at the table with me.  For those of you wondering about Stewart- - he showed up while we were eating lunch and listened to Judy’s long discourses about morality and the economy.  Stewart surprised me afterward saying that he is not supporting Obama because he had become convinced that Romney’s economic policies would ruin America just like they ruined all those countries.  He said he had been gathering material and “following” Romney.  (I don’t know if that was literal)  He had a bunch of print-outs with him just chalked with economic statistics, many I didn’t understand, and was a little surprised that he did.  He’ll be putting out an essay in a Federation outlet tomorrow.  I resolved that if it was a good outing or at least passable, then I would not give Tim the link to that angry blog I wrote last night, possibly channeling Jim Morrison or somebody else who was angry.  After today but before talking to Stewart I was having my own mental quandary.

Friday December 30th 2011

This is after three thirty and Nora was briefly in here.  I just read one of these alarmist pieces Paul forwarded.  Certainly I’d like to slow down that juggernaut if possible and personally I think the author is a bit of a nervous Nelly.  But perhaps this could be the source of the next wide spread protests- - being that we are just rushing into the future too soon, and we need to slow it down.  It’s senseless.  There is nothing wrong with public TV or hard drives or hard copy CD’s or books or newspapers or the other items on that list.  We are trying to bring back American Industry and I personally believe 2012 will be a turn around year in this regard.  I am predicting a trend tword a more even balance of trade this year.  A lot of it is just self generated frenzied hysteria and I was waiting for the punch line of “The Antichrist is Coming” or what not.  That’s how these things usually end.  Back in the seventies Chuck Smith was all upset about the technology existing for ID chips in animals.  As far as owning things I’d like to start first with actually taking possession of that 500 gig hard drive Judy bought and then took back.  Right now a resident’s council meeting is taking place.  I have nothing to say and being there will be just another reminder that Loretta is not around.

The soap opera wasn’t real great with all the loving couples engaged in whatever.  Doug and Julie sang “You Belong To My Heart”.  I’m trying to remember where I heard that song before.  It was on that Elvis Sun sessions record recorded early December 1956.  Marlena at last knows Will’s horrible secret.  Is it one she can keep?

After two I went to the courtyard and waited.  I talked to that new female brunette resident by the bird cage.  She seems pleasant enough, without any “mental problems”.  I then went back outside after coming into the hall for a while.  I had two cups of coffee from Laura.  I have gotten no phone calls.  That latest posting was typed Wednesday, which is more recent than I imagined.  We are now making our way on to page seven, but with the photographs it still isn’t that long.   Right now I can’t envision doing a new posting till at least Sunday depending on how depressed Saturday’s gathering makes me.  I may just want to escape into football and Beatles.  I keep coming up with ideas and then discarding them.  I’m wearing that Cars shirt today.  There were no birthday presentations today, which I’ll probably miss it if they do it tomorrow.

This is after dinner.  Tonight we had a “steak” patty with gravy and mashed potatoes and also broccoli that was actually bright green.  We had bread pudding for desert.  Eye Witness News is on now and last night I was having a lot of problems with channel seven but it’s coming in fine now.  They are announcing free bus service.  They say it is a felony to fire a gun on Newyears Eve.  I can see that in prison where a fellow inmate asks what you’re in for and you say “Celebrating at midnight by firing a gun”.  We have not heard the “Boobies” theme for weeks now and Randy says we won’t hear it again.  It’s a disservice to feminist liberationists everywhere to claim that Rusty Warren was doing that song for men in drag.  It makes no sense in the context of any of the lyrics to the song.  She talks about the wives of signers of the Declaration of Independence.  She talks about “loosening the bra that binds you - - take it off if you feel like it”.  That would defeat the whole purpose if she were entertaining men.  Also that line about “giving it your all” would make no sense because if you did “give it your all” the padding would just wind up on the floor.  Also what man would put up with those allusions to impotency?  Is she saying all those men were “post op”?   If anything “Rusty” is a man’s name so the song can best be taken is women who want to become men.

I went to the liquor store for a pack of John Black grape.  I paid with eight quarters.  Lately when somebody mentions a name I’m thinking “I haven’t seen them in a few days.  I hope they haven’t been carted off”.  Some ambulance just pulled up here as I was leaving the building.  I just checked out note pad in Yahoo Mail.  If I have to I guess I can start storing at least some files “in the cloud”.  Of course if I were ever to go to the hospital you know who has my E mail address and she would say “I forgot my password” and get it just like that, and start sabotaging the text or whatever.  We should have one more week of the regular football season left.  Somehow I feel this football season went by too quickly.  Nobody likes the word “Man Cave” any more.  That’s a sitcom term.  And now you can still “think outside the box”, but just don’t tell anybody.

If someone were to ask me which I would find more painful, finding out that Christianity is true, or receiving incontrovertible evidence Dad wasn’t my father, I would have to go with the Christian one.  If anything vaguely resembling that was true, this is really a screwed up world when you think how much damage Christianity has caused the world, even in these past few years with the Tea Party.    Questions of genetic origins are abstract exercises in logic.  In terms of what it would end up meaning in my life it would be almost nothing.  Christianity isn’t the source of all my problems, but even as a willing co agent to my problems, as far as the law is concerned it could be at least be charged as an “accessory” to the causes of my many woes in life.  Think about it.

Newt Gets Neutered In Latest Iowa Polll

I wasn't sure this thing would paste but it did. Mitt Romney is now in first place in Iowa with Ron Paul in at second.  But the third place is a surprise, which is Santaurum.  That drops Newt Gingrich to fourth, which means if these numbers remain unaltered the next six days, Newt is all washed up.  So what is clear that certain Christians who fell rapturously in love with Newt are in for a big disappointment next week.  They are in for other disappointments, too.  President Obama is the most admired man in America and Hillary Clinton continues to reign as the most admired woman in America.  What this tells me is that for all the protestations of the Tea Party on how they have their finger on the pulse of America, they don't.  If you heard some of the things people in Iowa have actually said about health care, for instance, you would realize that these people are not nearly as "out of sympathy" with the President's 2008 campaign promises as the Tea Party would have you believe.  By Ron Paul's coming in a strong second we learn that there are a whole lot of people concerned about the ongoing violations of our Civil Liberties by the Courts and by the Government, especially the Executive branch.  They don't use those X ray porno scanners, for example, in Israel, and if any nation would be expected to deal with an ongoing threat it would be Israel.  I think a lot of people are looking for a government less concerned with what they do in they do in the bedroom and more concerned about things like Congressmen using inside information to get rich from the stock market.   People have an inherent dislike of political crooks, even in this day and age.  People what to see their Congressmen as servants and representatives of they, the people and not as some rich aristicratic overlords.  People are tired of this ongoing "war on drugs".  They are tired of the other kind of war, too.  It could well be that President Obama may feel the need to take some agressive action in Iran to avoid the closing of the straits of Hormuz or whatever strait it is.  Perhaps the President is of a mind set that he wants "another clincher event" to impress the right wing with, even if he has to manufacture it.  Of course you know what they say, don't you - - never trust brown skinned men not born in America who are also Socialists and who give away free medical care.  Of course I'm talking about Jesus.  It's kind of funny how they now like the term Marxist rather than Communist.  Because Karl Marx never advocated the sort of a system they have now in Red China, where if the workers manage to get any rights or higher wages,  then Republicans in this country complain that they are "betraying their Republican roots" in China or whatever and are no longer that Corporate paradise with no retirement pensions that Michelle Bachman admires them for.  But returning to Ron Paul for a moment, many of the things he advocates are appealing to many libertarians of the liberal bent.  There is no doubt about that.  In this wide open primary era (which I have advocated against for twenty years) you may find many unexpected people voting for Ron Paul, assuming the caucus people let them in.  I don't know what their requirements are.

Here are some additional remarks from earlier today:  .  Thom Hartman has a new show but there isn’t a lot new in the news this week beside the cat fights in the political commercials they are doing on Iowa television.  Now there is a Sarah Palin Iowa earthquake movement.  At this point it’s hard to envision any of the many candidates pulling over thirty percent..  But if Ron Paul does well it will make the race interesting and show there are still believers in civil liberties out in hick land.   None of those roomers about Iran I put in my blog have panned out- - yet.   We are hearing about protests in Russia against Vladimir Putin now.  There seems to be a stalemate in Syria as we stay aloof from that.  The guests have been boring. 

Of course it has been shown that vote flipping is not just a theory but fact.  Many report that they voted for John Kerry in 2004 and the machine flips their votes to George W Bush, over and over.  I've been hearing stories like this for years.  Now some thirty states are taking steps to reduce voter registration to only certain people whom the tea party considers "worthy".  Two years ago the liberals were in a state of stunned shock and for this reason they stayed home.  But Thom Hartman points out that another influence played on the results of the 2004 election and that is every time John Kerry would rise in the polls, the Bush government would hike the securety level warning from Yellow to Orange, or something.  If President Obama were really smart he'd compile a list of all the perogatives at his disposal as President to manipulate and tilt the voter turn out next November in a manner more conducive to a Democrat sweep in all offices.  There is one more thing people haven't thought about.  We have for months heard an exaustive catalogue of all the doubts and worries of what might happen if Obama gets elected to another term.  We've heard no plans and no offers of hope, of course, but we've heard this hysterical list of complaints.  We hear Obama is not firm on the subject of terrorism and he is.  We forget that the President has deported more illegal aliens than any previous president and that there have been fewer Wall Street prosecutions under this President than with George Bush.  Obama could change this latter statistic by getting more agressive with Wall Street crooks and give the media a few heads on a pole to parade around before the people.  We have not had the Democratic Convention yet with their "Presentation" of everything that President Obama has accomplished for Americans.  When the people see this, the tide will swing even more favorably in the President's favor.

I made Mal Evans drop the Federation B side because I hated the original song because I sang it myself with my own altered lyrics.  Can you name it?  That 45 vinyl disk was released in September of 1992 when - - oh yes, I had that strange (revelitory) dream about somebody back in July who had been a part of my life since July of 1988.  There.  That narrows it down for you..

It is said "Life is full of surprises".  Do you think Death is full of surprises?  Sometimes the funniest thoughts just occur to me.  That whole Jeopardy thing tonight got me to thinking about the Zombie song "Beechwood Park" and how that song reminded me of Laura Hammil.  Some relationships are meant to last a life time and others are not.  But suppose Heaven was a "Time Warp" where you could go back to an earlier time and perhaps chart a different course?  I know, Neil Savedra says there are no second chances in life and "God doesn't allow do-overs" and all that.  I'll disregard the remark for now.  I'm thinking of a saying that Dr. Phil has about "the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior".  Rather than being transformed, aren't we as Christians supposed to presume that Heaven is like the hardening of the cosmic cement that's been opperative in our lives, and those whom we despize and despize us, ever since we all became Christians?  For instance "The Walrus" made the spiteful remark lately that I somehow did not "deserve" my SSI increase, even though it will only end up netting me three dollars in spending money per month.  But "The Walrus" as well as his current wife have been peppering me such such remarks for the past thirty-odd years.  Often the tone of voice is more spiteful than the actual words said.  So I got to thinking what if the Walrus and his wife get tired of each other and choose to go their separate ways in heaven.  But then the Walrus sees me in love and someone in love with me and he makes the observation something like "Marcus- - you're lucky you're in heaven now because your life really sucked back there on earth in that board and care home.  This move is a really big step up for you, isn't it.  How do you rate?  And the underlying remark like so many the Walrus has made, like many remarks Neil of KFI has made to his callers is "You really don't Deserve that kind of happiness".  I've thought about Heaven.  But the trouble if other Christians I've known are there it will kind of ruin it for me now, won't it?  I mean, the whole thing - God, Heaven, the Trinity, it's all made up so don't give me any of this bunk about my not being "factual" or anything.  Oppinions are like assholes.  Everybody has them but that doesn't mean they're always worth exposing.  And now what you want to know is the big "Secret meaning" behind the Zombies song "She's not there".  Well you know the song "Hey, you've got to hide your love away".  That's not bad advice if you're around Christians because they'll ruin it for you if you let them.  A lot of Beatle songs are said to have secret meanings.  Fixing a Hole is about shooting heroin, and Norweegen Wood is about a Lezbian, that kind of stuff.  There is also a dark secret to the song "hey, you've got to hide your love away" I've heard from exactly one source, so it might not even be right.  So the whole Zombie thing is about an etherial reality that hangs around like a fleeting ghost.  Sometimes it's there and sometimes it isn't.  Now what I was referring to as the Wally Mead factor in the song.  Ah yes, the progenitor link, the cryptic utterance of Stephano Di Mira, the tea leaves that form such an odd pattern,  the rich congressman who won the million dollar lottery three times in a row,  the Jeopardy common bond, and all of that - all the way from Eugene Oregon - - go Ducks, and all of that.

In soap land John Black is being a perfect asshole of ingratitude tword Marlena and Raphael and Carrie for getting him out of jail.  I can’t imagine he doesn’t regard it as a good thing that he had his good name back with the people of Salem, and that Abraham Carver’s campaign is saved, and that he gets to spend the night in bed with his wife and not behind bars, and doesn’t have an ankle bracelet but is free to go wherever he wants.  His assets are unfrozen and again he has complete control over them.  And this John counts as less than nothing???   Samantha worked for Madison James less than three months and the entire time the relation with Madison was strained.  Madison had Sammy on a really short leash and rode her like a horse and almost fired her once, and would have, if not for Kate’s intervention with good advice.  And she has the continual double awkward situation of competing with her Mother in law with a rival company, and also of having to live with her step brother and her boss carrying on romantically right there in the office with Madison having this “up yours” attitude when asked to show a little propriety.  You know, leaving that job and going to work for Kate solves an awful lot of problems, not to mention pulling in twice the money to cover Christmas bills.  But Brady, who is almost the hypocrite Sammy is, only sees Sammy as a traitor to Madison who “taught her everything she knows” which is a big, hairy lie.  Samantha is nothing if not smart and a fast learner and assimilator.  Her intuitive skills alone would be a great asset in any business.

Well now Christmas is passed.  We’ve had Festivus and Quanza and Hanukkah is almost done with.  I have not done a posting since Thursday, which means I did not post any of the four day extended Christmas weekend, when all the usual talk show radio hosts were off the air.  There is such a mine field of topics our family has to avoid when we get together at holiday gatherings the list can be crushing.  In terms of topic avoidance this year definitely gets an A.  Not one item on that whole, long list ever came up even briefly for discussion.  There was not even any talk of medical insurance from anybody.  That’s unusual in itself given our gatherings.  Butt this year it would have been too easy to segway into Obamacare.  There was no talk about my new drive or renovated computer.  I am not really a happy camper right now because almost all of the Word files have been deleted from my hard drive.  And the back-up drive is also presently out of my possession.  Most people may spend several weeks making a decision about buying a new computer and maybe an hour or two picking one up at the store.  For me this was flip flopped.  At most an hour was spent making all the relivent decisions, and it wasn’t exactly me who made them, and it’s been weeks waiting for this custom built computer.  Nobody remarked about the new sweater I was wearing.  It wasn’t my normal style and I got it as a gift from this place.  There was no talk of taxes or politics at all.  There were so many big news stories this year any ONE of them would have been a major event in any other year.  Let’s talk about the abundance of favorable economic news that’s been breaking lately including two consecutive jumps in the consumer confidence index.  We could talk about the significant rise in the Pressident's poll numbers and now approval exceeds disapprovals 47% to 45%.   So the President is finally “in the black”.   Also ignored were any of the many other major developments in the news such as Arab Spring or the death of Bin Laden, which in itself would have spawned countless champaign corks popping were Bush still President.  There is also the death or capture of countless other Islamics and terrorists such as Alaki or whoever.   That 2011 was the year the nine year in Iraq for the US came to an end, would certainly have been major news any other year.   The whole Gabrial Giffords thing was major news in January because of the major hatred that spawned it, and that it spawned.  We had Sarah Palin who was still around them (thankfully not any more) making her inflamitory statements such as 2^nd amendment solutions and gun sights on her campaign litriture.    There was no talk about the debt default crisis - - which was unprecedented in our nation’s history and people like Rush Limbaugh and Michelle Bachman, who were all in favor of it happening.    Of course you would think that a gift of between one and two thousand dollars in payroll tax cuts would have merited mention, at least in passing.   And there was a little thing like the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, a once in every thirty years event.  And now we hear a royal heir is on the way.  And they changed the law so that the first born female can become Queen.  That's a once in several hundred year's event.  And they have discovered that earth like planet.  (I can year the yawns now)  It's hard to deal with a really jaded audience that's seemingly either "heard it all" or just too disinterested to care.  There was no talk about religion what so ever.  That in itself is kind of hard to do at Christmas time.  There was no talk about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar.  There are indications that Pope Benedict isn't long for his job.  What will the next Pope be like?  There was no talk about Dad,  But then again, there never is.  Since he’s been dead these past four years the motto seems to be, “Out of sight, out of mind”.  There was no inquiry how much I’ve used my camera.  There was only Wendy indicating her boredom as my shooting movies with it.  There were no inquiries about what sort of year I’ve had or getting a coffee maker or “the coffee business”.  There was no reference to Dr. Levy or things I may have learned this year I didn’t know before - - or anything I wrote him.  Pete Richards tried to spike interest in things I wrote him, but once again Wendy’s boredom was more than obvious and Pete risked endangering his own relation with Wendy if he were to continue to press the matter.  All the news about Uncle John and Alzheimer's and now a heart attack, I hear- - was so hush hush - - only a few people seemed aware that conversation was even going on.  I never talked about the food or any other doings around here or the deaths of Bob Guyer or Richard Powers.  Richard Powers was a good friend of mind and I have known him for seven or eight years or whatever since the Green Harbor days..  I was on corgial terms with Bob Guyer.   And there was no mention of my flirtations with Mormonism or Seid and Nicky’s Sunday night group, where admittedly the chief activity is eating ice cream.  But there is also some prayer and teaching and occasionally reading from the Book of Mormon.   So what did we talk about?  Favorite Christrmasses of our child hoods.  There was talk about knitting patterns and quilts and China patterns, and their two cats - - and whether the house across the street may be re-zoned for a Board and Care facility.  There was talk about how little the town of Julian has changed over the years.  And Al did relate a couple of frightful events I never knew about.  I don’t recall anyone except perhaps Pete discussing their job, because employment talk would be in danger of morphing into politics.  I guess over-all I’m feeling just a little turned off with the whole family scene.  You know, they say “Don’t throw your pears before swine”.

Actually the good political news continues, as I see it.  Newt Gingrich didn’t even qualify to run in his current state of residence, Virginia.  Rick Perry and Michelle Bachman didn’t qualify either.  In other tantalizing news if true,  Donald Trump announced he is leaving the Republican Party.  Nothing would give me a greater political rush than for Trump to announce he was running as a third party candidate.  That more than anything else would absolutely insure an Obama landslide next November.  Now we hear that Ben Nelson of Nebraska will not be running again for Democratic senator from that state.  Good riddance to bad rubbish- - is what I say to that.  Nicole Sandler is saying that Atheists want to try and “get along” with Christians next year.  My advice is “Don’t bother”.  They don’t want you around.  They’re too proud and bigoted to admit they aren’t completely self sufficient.  If you’ve hung around Pastor Mark as long as I have, you wouldn’t even have broached the idea.  There is a roomer that President Meliki of Iraq is trying to forge an alliance with Iran.  Well you know something?  That’s something we should have thought about before we took out Saddam Hussein.  He may have been a despot but as Pat says, “We had him in a box”.  He was pretty much neutered as far as his military power was concerned.  He surpressed Al Qaeda and the Shiits and other Islamic extremist groups.  So in an ironic way the people of his nation were able to dwell in a certain amount of peace and harmony they haven’t enjoyed since.   Some would regard legalized gay marriage in the state of New York as good news.  They say that people with close relations to homosexuals generally have the greatest tolerance for it, even if they are right of political center.  I guess that leaves me out.  Now they are saying that the US as we speak is taking new hostile action in Iran and there are roomers of a nuclear reactor blowing up in that country.  We’ll all have to stay tuned for that one.  Right now I just want to thank everybody for reading this posting.  I know it’s the first new one we’ve done in a while.  And we will be posting in this blog for another week or two.  There is a LOT I was going to include in this first posting but I’m just too pissed off at a lot of people and secretly wondering whether I just bore everybody anyhow.

Stewart Sutcliffe put in an appearance and he said that my problem was that “I don’t size up people quickly enough”.  I think he was also offended at Wendy’s trashing of the Beatles with her remark about “when they come on I always change the station”.  He also indicated that Obama hasn’t won the 2012 election yet but there is still plenty of time for political missteps and “knowing Obama he’ll make serious mistakes”.   He also mentioned “even in the Ten Commandments it may not have been wise to raid the temple granaries.  You might want to run that by the Egyptian Gods, first before you do anything rash”.  I did munch on the macadamia chocolate things but didn’t have the piece of pecan pie till the next morning.  Stewart said a lot more and my "flesh" wants to quote him extensively, but I'm being an undeserved "nice guy" about it.   As you know this is Stewart's second appearence in a week, and this one was more extensive.


People are so inconsistent.  They profess to be bored of any talk about religion, but let an Atheist challenge their beliefs and the are immediately in an uproar or "how dare they?"   A psycho-therapist would argue that such people have "unresolved issues".  It's amazing how many people don't have wills and their relatives have to deal with these "unresolved issues" and they fight like cats and dogs often knifing each other in the back.  We've all heard such stories.  People don't mind when it turns out that everything any Christian has said to them when tested - turns out to be a lie- - doesn't bother them.  Because they are told that "We have a sure promise of life to come".  Would you be willing to make book on how "sure" that promise is?  Keep in mind that not one individual in the whole Bible, including the son of God himself, ever perported do die and go to heaven and come back to tell others what he experianced.  To me "zero" is just too small and uncertain a number to base any "unshakable" faith on.  Thom Hartman is upset at the idea of Atheists trying to "evangelize their religion" to others.  First of all it is not a religion because Atheism as a belief system is based on science and not religion.  But the term "Evangelize" implies you are trying to "pitch" or "sell something" that you have some emotional stake in promoting.  If you warn someone the road is washed out a mile ahead due to the recent floor you aren't "pitching" anything.  You're not trying to "pull something over on them".  You are warming them as a good Semaritan, which is by the way a Christian good practice.  It would be the same thing as loaning a person in need something you happened to have, in some emergency.  Atheists are not intimidated about living among Christians, but Christians are quite intimidated about, for instance, "exposing" their kids to even a little objectivism.  Why is that?  It is my belief that Christianity, like the tea party, is in its death throws.  It's gotten to the point of being so utterly weirded out that long timers no longer even recognize it as it tries desperately to survive in a 21st Century society, like some species doomed to extinction desperately tries to evolve and mutate fast enough to live in a world where it can no longer survive.  (Selah)
