The Environment and Other Issues

We need to talk more about the environment.  Mark Stein and certain congressmen are saying now how horrible it would be to have to go “back” to 2005 pollution levels, and the cut subsequent carbon emissions in electric plants by thirty percent.  Let me put it this way.  Would you rather have a violent inferno with acrid sulphury air and temperatures of ninety or hundred degrees all the time, and ungodly out of control weather and inundating oceans, and crop production out the window as a lost cause- - but there are big stacks of hundred dollars bills for you to fondle, even if there is nothing to spend it on because there are riots in any of the stores still selling food - - or you can have pristine lakes and streams and pleasant “normal” summers, and thirty percent less cash to spend?  To me this one is a no brainer.  Not for Mark Stein.  He carried on about polar bears this morning mocking the idea of them being trapped on isolated patches of vanishing ice surrounded by water.  But then admits that “Actually there have been no records kept on polar bears”.  I had gotten the idea from his mockery- - that he was going to whip out some major study saying there were more polar bears now than ever or something.  And then there was some southern senator who says “Actually when I was a kid it was hard to find wild deer to hunt, but now they are plentiful”.  And went on to talk about “bumper crops” of this or that in the south.  This I highly doubt being the extended torid periods of over one hundred degrees for virtually weeks on end, and no rain.  It’s either that or violent tornadoes, hail storms, and rampant flooding.   But remember as far as going “back” to 2005, in that year, pollution levels were higher than today, and this law won’t even come into effect for some two years.  But it’s funny as with so many Obama laws, they complain of the averse effects of the law years before it even goes into effect.  Or say things like “If we had approved the Canadian pipeline last year we could be exporting oil to Germany and Ukraine now” as though things worked that quickly.  These Republicans live in a well insilated fantasy world.  Part of their problem is that liberals look at the way things ARE and investigate it, and deal with it, and try to figure out how to solve a problem.  Republicans- - it’s like the economy.  Economists aren’t people involved in the nuts and bolts of business.  Most of what Milton Friedman says is “economic theory”.  It’s kind of like their “theory” of creationism.   Yeah.  You never thought about Creationism as a “theory” but that is exactly what it is.  It’s another one of these sweeping statements Republicans on the right make- as though it came down from God Himself.  But it didn’t.  Liberals actually look at a particular specimine.  They document, for instance, - - evolution in dog species, or changing colors in moths, or resistant strains of bacteria and they conclude “Evolution is taking place because we can see it happening”.   Dr Levy will read some article and quote it (probably out of context) by some economic “theorist”.  And these “theorists” dominate the Republican party- - and make assumptions like “The more regulations we have about anything- - the worse the pocket book issues for the Average American because no profits means the “Job Creators’ will unable to “create” the jobs American’s need.

Today it was “general senate discussion”, which was a site with hours of playing time to skip around in.  Chuck Schumer of New York, and Harry Reid spoke on the immigration bill.  They say the problem in the house is that Stephen King is blocking the thing.  King said “If I had the gavel I would never allow this to come up for a vote”, which is what John Boehner has accomplished for him anyhow.  One conservative analyst stated that “If there isn’t a bill passed before the August break of this year, it will never pass till both congress and the Presidency are in democratic hands, and those democrats will be in a position to dictate all the terms of whatever bill comes out.  Chuck Schumer said “The Republicans are free to come out with any bill they want- and we’ll deal with it in conference committee, but they have put nothing to a vote.   There are only from fifty to seventy hardened house members who would not vote for ANY immigration bill.   Steven King said that at least twenty right now would vote for the Senate bill as is, and as many as another one hundred republican house members could be persuaded to vote for some house bill on immigration.  Both Chuck and Harry Reid stated that “This bill will do more to stimulate the economy than any other bill we’ve passed and it will tack on another three percent annual growth to the GNP.   Chuck was so brazen as to suggest “Don’t use the President’s lack of border enforcement as an excuse.  In fact I personally would be perfectly open to the bill’s not going into effect till January of 2017 when there is no President Obama to deal with.   But then there was Jeff Sessions of Alabama- -who pointed out that in high tech jobs there are two and a half times as many college graduates with a major in this field (four letter acronym) as there are available job positions.  But of course business says “There are a lot of positions going begging” but Sessions believes these businessmen are lying.  Besides he fears, and so do I, that these jobs will just be turned over to foreigners to fill like from China and India, which totally sucks.  There was another senator who had poster charts talking about “The financial side effects of Obama Care”.   It would seem that in the four states of Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, and last but not least, Oregon, the state exchanges are closing down because they were economically mismanaged with US tax subsedies and as a “favor to the taxpayers”  (laughter) ” this guy wants to ADD a tax burden to these four unfortunate states in the form of higher taxes in those states which will be levied to pay for it.

The issue of the freeing of this lone POW isn’t going away.  The more you examine the facts the worse they look.  It seems not only had Bowe himself made anti US remarks, but the POW’s father has made some strange pro Pakistani remarks, and even spoke in Arabec or some native language, which enrages the “Patriot radio” station people.  Something strange is sure going on.  It’s repeated that they sent out an expedition to look for him and six servicemen were killed in that endeavor.  If you’re a friend or relative or one of those six, this isn’t an easy pill to swallow.  Basically lives were endangered by this guy.  And now that the “Dream team of the Talliban” or also known as the “Fab Five” were released, to again do their terrorism thing, the President’s action of the other day could well be putting more American lives at risk.  When you think how long and hard the tea party must have been searching for some shred of evidence that Barock Obama was somehow a stealth Moslem or something, and would inevitably be influenced by Jeremiah Wright’s “God damn America!” sermon, and now they have it!  It’s kind of like I knew that I was “spiritual toast” with Calvary Anaheim, now that Pastor Mark, who had been seeking something on me for a long time, now in 2001 had it on me with alcoholism.  But of course the House is off this entire week.  Last week they worked two and a half days, and that took so much out of them they had to take the entire week off this week, to recover.  But when they get back it’s hard to imagine Impeachment not being on the table, knowing how hysterical they are about the presidents other military peckadillos such as Bengazi.

Gabriel confessed everything to Marlena today in a police session that puzzled me, because the minute it’s over Hope asks Marlena for a psychiatric evaluation.  No matter what Marlena said it would be tantamount to lying because she obviously couldn’t tell her the overwhelming factor that influenced her decision.  Gabriel is very sane and determined, and working with a plan.  She would be a textbook case in the minds of a lot of judges for a long sentence.   But when you think about it, how many second degree murderers are gifted with a “second chance” with an opportunity to “undo the deed”.  But Gabriel apparently liked the guilt she felt the first time so much, that she wanted to do it all over again.  Now of course Samantha knows that Marlena knows what she did by way of being an accomplice.  Samantha started to say “I need to explain myself” but then stopped herself and tried to pretend she didn’t know.  Now Samantha has this decision on whether to tell Kate and the others that Marlena now knows what they did.  Eric said something really cute to Nicole today.  Nicole was going on and on about “being tormented with the knowledge of this secret and not being able to tell anyone”.  And Eric said, right as he was leaving her (for the last time) well, now you should praise God because now for the first time in months, you are no longer tormented with keeping that secret”.   (Selah)  We had cheeseburgers for lunch and I got extra onion rings from Owen.  We had corn chowder with watermelon for desert.

Is the US Headed for an Insurrection?

This afternoon I was reading up on The First Jewish War 66-70 AD.  I wanted to know what in the world actually caused it.  Nothing, really.  It was just little incidents that grew into bigger issues, that grew into bigger conflicts.  Nor were all of the Jewish people on the same side.  They were attacking each other.  There were these two guys, John, and "Simon, the strong" who were really ruthless military leaders, and then there were your garden variety Zealots.  This war had it's ebs and flows, just like all wars.  But you look at President Obama, and the attitude the "zealous' right wing of the republican party has, and add into the mix disillusioned leftists- - and you have a regular witch's brew of potential problems.  Note I didn't say "Revolution".  Whatever insurrection there is in this country is bound to fail, just as the Jewish War was bound to fail.  Clearly we have one of the most "out of touch" Presidents in nearly a hundred years.  This latest incident with the POW release in exchange for five high risk and dangerous Talliban- - is just the latest examples.  One member of the administration was confronted on a TV talk show about the issue of these five men being "high priority" and "dangerous" in that they are very likely to get right back into terrorism the minute they are released.  This administration spokesman threw a lot of bull shot out there- but never answered the question.  Piled on top of this you have this Veterans Administration scandal, which we now know is much bigger and "more systemic" than anyone thought.  But there are other issues.  According to George Washington's blog- - there was a "false flag" opperation in Ukrane- - where we staged an attack to make it look like Russians attacking- - in an attempt to foment an overthrow of their then President, which Pat Buchannon reminds us was "duly elected".  This would indeed seem to be an issue for Congress to look into.  Then we have the Mendacity factor- - this administration telling one lie after another.  They lied when they said that the whole purpose of Obama Care was to insure the in excess of forty million Americans that didn't have Health Insurance.  But they set the bar so low at eight million it's a joke.  I would have thought at least they could set the success bar at 25 million.  This would be a sensible, conservative goal.  But eight million is a joke, assuming all of these people have even paid their premiums.  There is the lie of course of "If you like your doctor, you can keep them".  This phrase was repeated so often I was puzzled.  And then we have this Bengazi thing.  I have wondered why the administration in the onslought of Republican questioning just say "Look we screwed up, OK.  Obviously it was a terrorist act.  We should have gone out on the Sunday morning shows and said we were hunting down the terrorist that did this thing, and will bring them to justice, one way or another.  This insistence on blaming it on a Video- - over and over again like Secretary Rice did- - never made any sense to me, even at the time.  And then of course we have Obama the chicken.  Yeah.  He drew a line in the sand and Syria's king Al Assad just stepped right over it- - again and again.  Then we have the whole thing with Vladimir Putin stepping in to "save the day" and President Obama let him do it.  We also have in this country a continuing dissatisfaction with the US economy- - and less purchasing power for the wages they get, including Health Care.  All this President had to do was have a vibrant economy after four years since 2010, and the democrats could have taken back congress.  Now that's not going to happen.  And people are even talking Impeachment.

In soap land we have the actions of Nicole and the actions of Gabriel coming to light.  Of the two young women- - Gabriel's actions are the more justifiable.  Nicole's actions- - besides being a betrayal to her fiancee - - also put innocent lives in danger such as Daniel and Jennifer, and Nicole could have prevented the whole thing.  Then she did an action that would have a Police Officer brought up on charges if he'd done the same thing.  She fired a gun- - not so much to protect human lives, but to "shut the witness up" and prevent him from talking and telling what he knew.  Nicole kept saying "Don't listen to him.  He has nothing to say".   Now they tell us that six people lost their lives searching for Bowe whats-his-face Bergdoll or whoever.  In other words his desertion put other lives in needless jeopardy.  This is unforgivable.  Then we have Gabriel's action- where only the guilty suffered- - or semi guilty.  Though Nick Fallon must have known in his heart someone was going to attempt to kill him if he kept acting the way he was.  From Gabriel's point of view it's a case of being in a bad, almost hellish state of oppression by another.  And then she saw a way OUT -  a way to End all of her problems.  She learned of the gun when Will and Sonny were talking about it, and she heard Will talk Sonny out of using the gun on Nick.  So I guess it's "Never send a man to do a man's job- - send a woman to do a man's job".  I was going to bring in examples from my suicide attempt on May 3rd 1972, which was another case as I saw it of "I found a way to end a situation I didn't like".  And this is what happens in revolutions.  They - "suffer indignities as long as they are sufferable".  But there comes a point- - like the original Watts riots in August 1965 where the slightest little incident will set off a spark that turns into a conflagration.  Of course Gabriel paid a high price because to be convincing she had to admit that she hired a hit man to kidnap Melanie, which put Melanie's life in jeopardy.  This won't go over well when it's time to negotiate a sentence.   But in terms of the country at large the citizens are likewise "inclined to suffer events - as long as they are sufferable".   And you never know when people have "just had enough".  Did I choose to commit suicide that one day because of some horrible event- - or even because the past few weeks had been especially bad.  I did not, and they weren't.  But at some point I had made a "Decision" if only on a subcontious level that "There will come a day when it will happen".  So it is for people in this country who would attempt some sort of violent revolution.  You've heard it said by those on the left and right alike "I just don't recognise this country any more.  It isn't the country I grew up in".   So that's why I'm giving it a bit less than four and a half months.  And then we'll see what happens.

Solar Road Panels for You and Me

You may have heard all the talk on radio shows about up and coming "solar road panels" that would be a godsend in removing the solar panel electricity generation factor.  This couple from Idaho has done extensive videos on the subject and the topic has been "re tweeted a million times' on the internet, so this author is a little late to the party.  This author only learned the specifics of this solar road panel thing last night on George Washington's blog, where I watched extensive videos on the subject.  These road panels are covered on an ultra hard plexiglas covering that lets the light through to the imbedded solar cells.  These panels are like hexigonal floor tiles that you just lay down on the roadway.  If one of the panels should fail and no longer work, there is a wired alert system where "the panels talk to each other" and the supervisor is informed exactly where to go to replace the specific panel.  These panels foresee the day when we will drive in all electric cars and these panels would solve for all time the recharging problem.  In fact they say that is the entire country were strewn with these solar road panels, they would produce three times the total energy consumption right now in the world.  But there are other benefits to these panels.  First of all they would solve the problem of snow removal equipment because they are designed never to fall below the freezing point even in winter.  So you alliviate the salt and pothole problems drivers face now.  And snow would not collect on them.  But not only this but there are LED lights in these panels, which produce not only road lane lines, but also sense when deer or other animal is crossing the road ahead of you.  There are also programmable side lights that come on and off to save electricity when a driver would pass on a relatively empty road.  But these lights come in many colors and can be decked out for various games including tennis and basketball.  They say it would be like a living TRON game.  There is a video that has been up since May 2014 (just last month) called "Solar Freaking Panels", which concisely outlines the benefits of these road panels.  They also have optical qualities that efficiently direct the light to the driver, and also direct sunlight down to the solar panels beneath regardless of the time of day.  I tell you these people have thought of everything.  They have "passed all the tests with flying colors' and now are ready for a major roll-out and need your donations of a million dollars or something.  Detractors say that these panels are incredibly expensive- - but costs will come down - and I imagine the physical appearence of the panels will change in successive versions.  Just like we no longer have huge cell phones of the kind Gordon Gecko picked up as a novelty item in 1985.   It was only in 2007 that the first I Phones came out, and we all know of the vast improvements and competetion in successive generations.

There is another invention featured on this George Washington blog site.  There is this British guy who has this 'magic glass coating".  This is a clear carbon compound that is just micro-inches thick, that is like "carbon rolled into a chicken wire pattern".   This substance can be bent to form to any surface for a coating.  The substance produces electricity - - electrons from infrared waves in a manner I don't entirely understand.  One knows of course that when things flourecess "downward" in wave frequency such as that UV waves generate visable light do to electrons excited by photon activity.  Anyhow- - these windows can be programmed to appear different for just what you need.  They can have reflective surfaces on the outside to repel solar heat.  But you can just as easily have the reflective surface on the inside to reflect light back in the room.  It would be like these plastic sleeping bag wraps you put around you that are blue plastic on the outside but on the inside is a reflective surface that traps and reflects back your own body heat that keeps you nice and warm.  These windows can be programmed to appear in any color you want.  All that is needed is a four volt pulse that lasts only a milisecond.  The proponent of these panels say that when carbon is this thin that conductivity of subsances changes in the micro world- and this kind of "chicken wire carbon" has an amazingly efficient conductivity.  I would imagine that Sean Hannity and Rush will have a cow when they hear about either of these devices because it makes all that "all of the above" nonesense of the Obama Administration appear silly.  Now President Obama wants to encourage power companies to convert to natural gas, and take two years for new environmental regulations- - and the Republicans cry fowl. But it is pointed out that natural gas has become so inexpensive now, due to the epidemic of hydrolic fracturing, that power companies are converting on their own to natural gas.

The "Cosmos show" last night - - indicates that Global Warming is indeed here, and most of it is indeed man made.  First of all Venus was a victim of global warming because Venus never developed the life forms that sequester the carbon, nor the ocean water which sequesters more of the carbon in deposited limestone and such.  They say that with zero CO2 in the atmosphere earth would be a frozen, icy planet.  We need three parts per one percent of the atnosphere.  When I was in grammar school I was told that there was four percent of one percent C02 in the atnosphere.  Apparently the correct number established in 1958 was .03 of one percent, or three parts per ten thousand.  But there was a Sweedish mathmetician who calculated in 1896 that increased CO2 such as doubling the ammount- would have disasterous global warming consequences.  Later in the mid 1930's there was other "academic' research on this subject.  Today there is now forty percent more carbon dioxide than the base line throughout most of our earth's history.  Some wonder about the valcanic eruptions such as Rush whines about.  However - - it's a "heavier kind of CO2" that is easily distinguishable when you examine it.  And most of the elevatred CO2 is man made and not from valcanoes.  This activity is not caused by solar activity, which has remained unchanged.  Beside most of the global warming occurs at night, and in the winter when forests mainly in the northern hemisphere are producing the most green growth that produces oxygen.  And you've all heard about the famed "tipping point' where is enough polar ice melts that the sea water absorbs a lot more heat from the sun, whereas ice reflects much more heat back out into space.  So more open sea water produces more absorbed heat producing more melting ice and more sea water.  These are positive feedback loops.  People like Pat Buchannon and Shawn Hannidy don't have a clue on this.

And now here is more on that lone Afghan war POW that was released guy's testimony.  On June 27, 2009, according to Rolling Stone,[19] Bowe sent a final e-mail to his parents: "The future is too good to waste on lies. And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong. I have seen their ideas and I am ashamed to even be american. The horror of the self-righteous arrogance that they thrive in. It is all revolting."  His email went on to describe his disillusionment in the army: "In the US army you are cut down for being honest... but if you are a conceited brown nosing shit bag you will be allowed to do what ever you want, and you will be handed your higher rank... The system is wrong. I am ashamed to be an american. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools...I am sorry for everything here. These people need help, yet what they get is the most conceited country in the world telling them that they are nothing and that they are stupid, that they have no idea how to live. We don't even care when we hear each other talk about running their children down in the dirt streets with our armored trucks... We make fun of them in front of their faces, and laugh at them for not understanding we are insulting them...I am sorry for everything. The horror that is america is disgusting...There are a few more boxes coming to you guys. Feel free to open them, and use them."  During his unit's normal deployment rotation to Afghanistan, he went missing on June 30, 2009, near the town of Yahya Kheyl in the Paktika Province, which is in the south-east of Afghanistan, right on the border with Pakistan.  Accounts of his capture differ. The version offered by Bergdahl, in the video, is that he was captured when he fell behind on a patrol.[2] Taliban sources allege he was ambushed after becoming drunk off base; U.S. military sources deny that claim, stating, "The Taliban are known for lying and what they are claiming [is] not true".[4] Other sources said Bergdahl walked off his base after his shift[26] or that he was grabbed from a latrine.[27] A Department of Defense spokesperson said, "I'm glad to see he appears unharmed, but again, this is a Taliban propaganda video. They are exploiting the soldier in violation of international law."

LA Kings Win a Nail Biter Game Seven in Chicago

The LA Kings won last night in a suspense filled Game 7 in Chicago and defeated the Blackhawks 3 to 2 in overtime.  The Blackhawks were up two points to zero in the early going that they reported in the early evening news.  So just imagine it; it took till Overtime to resolve this one.  So I was left feeling like King Darius of Persia, who by reason of legal technicality was compeled to sentence Daniel to the Lion’s pit, and then the next morning approaches the pit and says “Daniel, do you let live” and Daniel comes out.  Of course there is a version of that story not found in the King James Bible where the prophet Habbakuk sneaks in and feeds the lions before Daniel got there.   All three rounds the LA Kings took it all the way to game seven, and some of us loyal Kings fans were having our doubts about this one.  The LA Kings will be opening at Staples Center this Wednesday night against the New York Rangers.  Owen Martin wanted to know if Staples Center took Master Card and I said “I don’t know; I’ve never attended a sporting event there.  Some of you are wondering whether my grandfather is Martin Owens or Charles Dutton.  Well, I never met either of them because they both died before I was born.  I would say that my great great grandfather, Charles Miller, had a son named John (Miller?) - who was a little boy in those old fashioned clothes I saw in a photograph taken maybe 1870 or around just after the Civil War, I think.  But he had a son named Charles Dutton, who took a wife named Elizabeth.  And I have no biological relation to Elizabeth- - but my own grandmother is of course, is from his second wife in a romance during World War I, named after a famous soap opera "grandmother" (of which there are many) on "Days of our Lives".

In other strange news, there is a drone problem in our National Parks now because people send up these radio controlled planes equipped with camera to take aerial shots of El Capitan and Half Done.  Also Donald Sterling was seen attending a black church in south central LA and I guess he’s really trying to atone for his mistakes of the past.  Actually I see no problem with this, because the act kind of proves he has the “balls” to face his “problem”.   Meanwhile yesterday morning Dr Levy took the opportunity to trash one of the “Terrible Four” corporations that the Romulans hate, and even mentioned “I think these people want to take over the world or something”.  Those are my sentaments.  They think they’re God, and have had their own “religion” and dedicated groupies for countless decades in the 20th and 21st centuries.  Just right “Ya Basta” over their gravestone.  I would add as a personal slice of wisdom – “Beat the recession and put more of your hard earned money in your wallet and boycott this corporation”.  And then of course- - along the same vein - - Lisa Simpson thinks GMO’s are just wonderful because they are pest resistant and “will be instrumental in feeding starving millions”.  I would argue that GMO’s are single handedly responsible for causing millions in the world to starve.  You can’t copyright “life” in my book, especially with seeds pre programmed to self destruct.

As you know the Federation put themselves out there by being so public about supporting the LA Kings.  The Federation also has it on the life for California Chrome this Saturday at the Belmont.  Of course the odds of a victory there are the same as predicting a spin on the Roulette wheel, or predicting to the number, two consecutive rolls of the dice.  (which somehow sounds easier)  I am informed that California Chrome cosmically is from the purple planet, pre Aldeberan IX invasion, so perhaps the horse should psyche himself up for the race listening to either Deep Purple, Spirit, or pre 1976 Steve Miller.  Of course in baseball the Federation are die-hard SL Cardinals fans. Just this morning I was just thinking to myself "all of this cosmic origins stuff is a real pain in the ass; I'm not going to report it anymore".   And I got a message from "someone", "You are not to second guess us, your job is just to report what we tell you".

This POW who was released Bowe Bergdol, was the only prisoner of war in the Afghanistan war.  If indeed he was guilty of just “walking off the base” going AWOL, a strong argument can be made for just leaving him there, ill health or not.  They say the man is so traumatized he’s actually afraid to speak English, and they say he has to “de-pressurize” and is not even meeting his parents till he gets re acclimated.  Of course five hardened Talliban terrorists were released from Guantanamo Bay prison to Qatar- - with the only stipulation that they not be allowed to leave that country for one year.  Formerly the Talliban had demanded payment of one million dollars and the release of 21 Al Qaeda prisoners, to secure Bowe’s release.  As it is Republicans are not one bit happy saying we got the short end of the deal, and after giving due hard thought to this issue, I am forced to agree.  This argument of “it isn’t a terrorist ransom but merely a prisoner of war exchange” just doesn’t wash.  I think (sadly) that President Obama is so desperate for headlines, he’ll stoop to doing anything about now.  Now on the Stephanie Miller show, the argument is put forth that "This is President Obama's way of closing Guantanamo prison by going around congress".  Bowe Bergdol’s “story” can be found in the Wickipedia, and maybe I’ll paste that entry in the posting if I feel like it.  E mails to parents state that Bowe was highly disillusioned with the military.

I went and read the mid August posting in “Opera” and then the late March 2008 posting in the same blog.  My writing had a lot less urgency and “insistency” in those days.  It was much less high voltage.  Back then of course I agreed with Thom Hartman’s assessment that the stock market was going to crash soon, because that’s what happened.  What was true then is not true now.  Sylvia Brown, the psychic seemed to announce her “retirement” on the Montell Williams show around October of 2007.  It’s funny how I am the only person who doesn’t mind his old predictions being brought to light.  I commented on the Georgia invasion when it happened, and my feelings now are pretty much what they were then.  Hillary Clinton was engaging in certain antagonistic attacks on Obama that she wouldn’t be caught doing today.  And Mc Cain described Obama as “The strangest Presidential candidate we’ve ever had”.

The other planet identified by a color is of course "the yellow planet" referred to by the local SC Romulans as "the yellow cat planet" or "the Sheffield Planet".  It was Neil Asphenol who informed me that my destiny, after death, was to that planet, or second star in Orion's belt.  Of course Neil has an inherent  antagonism with Mal Evans.  When Paul Mc Cartney and Mal Evans were touring California in the spring of 1967 there was one band with a long name (title is classified) that David Graham picked for the title of his band, too (vocalist and harmonica player) in which Pete Richards played drums.  But again- - the title was kited from the roomered existence of that other band a year earlier in the spring of 1967.  Personally I think it really sucks that George Martin did not like the track "Only a Northern Song" but told George Harrison to write another song.  As you know Neil Asphanol also doesn't get along with John Lennon that well.  In addition to John trashing Neil's professional credentials in accounting, Neil is still remembering an incident that occurred just after Pete Best was fired by the Beatles as drummer in August of 1962.  Neil asked John "Why in the world did you fire Pete Best?" and John Lennon just responded in a rather snide tone, "That question is none of you're concern, Neil, you're just the van driver".
