Is the US Headed for an Insurrection?

This afternoon I was reading up on The First Jewish War 66-70 AD.  I wanted to know what in the world actually caused it.  Nothing, really.  It was just little incidents that grew into bigger issues, that grew into bigger conflicts.  Nor were all of the Jewish people on the same side.  They were attacking each other.  There were these two guys, John, and "Simon, the strong" who were really ruthless military leaders, and then there were your garden variety Zealots.  This war had it's ebs and flows, just like all wars.  But you look at President Obama, and the attitude the "zealous' right wing of the republican party has, and add into the mix disillusioned leftists- - and you have a regular witch's brew of potential problems.  Note I didn't say "Revolution".  Whatever insurrection there is in this country is bound to fail, just as the Jewish War was bound to fail.  Clearly we have one of the most "out of touch" Presidents in nearly a hundred years.  This latest incident with the POW release in exchange for five high risk and dangerous Talliban- - is just the latest examples.  One member of the administration was confronted on a TV talk show about the issue of these five men being "high priority" and "dangerous" in that they are very likely to get right back into terrorism the minute they are released.  This administration spokesman threw a lot of bull shot out there- but never answered the question.  Piled on top of this you have this Veterans Administration scandal, which we now know is much bigger and "more systemic" than anyone thought.  But there are other issues.  According to George Washington's blog- - there was a "false flag" opperation in Ukrane- - where we staged an attack to make it look like Russians attacking- - in an attempt to foment an overthrow of their then President, which Pat Buchannon reminds us was "duly elected".  This would indeed seem to be an issue for Congress to look into.  Then we have the Mendacity factor- - this administration telling one lie after another.  They lied when they said that the whole purpose of Obama Care was to insure the in excess of forty million Americans that didn't have Health Insurance.  But they set the bar so low at eight million it's a joke.  I would have thought at least they could set the success bar at 25 million.  This would be a sensible, conservative goal.  But eight million is a joke, assuming all of these people have even paid their premiums.  There is the lie of course of "If you like your doctor, you can keep them".  This phrase was repeated so often I was puzzled.  And then we have this Bengazi thing.  I have wondered why the administration in the onslought of Republican questioning just say "Look we screwed up, OK.  Obviously it was a terrorist act.  We should have gone out on the Sunday morning shows and said we were hunting down the terrorist that did this thing, and will bring them to justice, one way or another.  This insistence on blaming it on a Video- - over and over again like Secretary Rice did- - never made any sense to me, even at the time.  And then of course we have Obama the chicken.  Yeah.  He drew a line in the sand and Syria's king Al Assad just stepped right over it- - again and again.  Then we have the whole thing with Vladimir Putin stepping in to "save the day" and President Obama let him do it.  We also have in this country a continuing dissatisfaction with the US economy- - and less purchasing power for the wages they get, including Health Care.  All this President had to do was have a vibrant economy after four years since 2010, and the democrats could have taken back congress.  Now that's not going to happen.  And people are even talking Impeachment.

In soap land we have the actions of Nicole and the actions of Gabriel coming to light.  Of the two young women- - Gabriel's actions are the more justifiable.  Nicole's actions- - besides being a betrayal to her fiancee - - also put innocent lives in danger such as Daniel and Jennifer, and Nicole could have prevented the whole thing.  Then she did an action that would have a Police Officer brought up on charges if he'd done the same thing.  She fired a gun- - not so much to protect human lives, but to "shut the witness up" and prevent him from talking and telling what he knew.  Nicole kept saying "Don't listen to him.  He has nothing to say".   Now they tell us that six people lost their lives searching for Bowe whats-his-face Bergdoll or whoever.  In other words his desertion put other lives in needless jeopardy.  This is unforgivable.  Then we have Gabriel's action- where only the guilty suffered- - or semi guilty.  Though Nick Fallon must have known in his heart someone was going to attempt to kill him if he kept acting the way he was.  From Gabriel's point of view it's a case of being in a bad, almost hellish state of oppression by another.  And then she saw a way OUT -  a way to End all of her problems.  She learned of the gun when Will and Sonny were talking about it, and she heard Will talk Sonny out of using the gun on Nick.  So I guess it's "Never send a man to do a man's job- - send a woman to do a man's job".  I was going to bring in examples from my suicide attempt on May 3rd 1972, which was another case as I saw it of "I found a way to end a situation I didn't like".  And this is what happens in revolutions.  They - "suffer indignities as long as they are sufferable".  But there comes a point- - like the original Watts riots in August 1965 where the slightest little incident will set off a spark that turns into a conflagration.  Of course Gabriel paid a high price because to be convincing she had to admit that she hired a hit man to kidnap Melanie, which put Melanie's life in jeopardy.  This won't go over well when it's time to negotiate a sentence.   But in terms of the country at large the citizens are likewise "inclined to suffer events - as long as they are sufferable".   And you never know when people have "just had enough".  Did I choose to commit suicide that one day because of some horrible event- - or even because the past few weeks had been especially bad.  I did not, and they weren't.  But at some point I had made a "Decision" if only on a subcontious level that "There will come a day when it will happen".  So it is for people in this country who would attempt some sort of violent revolution.  You've heard it said by those on the left and right alike "I just don't recognise this country any more.  It isn't the country I grew up in".   So that's why I'm giving it a bit less than four and a half months.  And then we'll see what happens.
