Bad Situations Aren't Getting Any Better

Chris Matthews is taking a stance on ISIS to sound the alarm and call out the troops like it’s World War II or something.  There is almost a hand wringing thing of “How did we managed to ignore this crisis for so long?”   How we need to attack ISIS in Syria as well as Iraq because “That’s where their headquarters are”.  If this isn’t “mission creep” on a major scale than I don’t know what is.  I see a potential diplomatic problem on the world state- of going beyond Iraq where it can be argued we have a commitment, to Syria, where we have publicly stated more times than Obama would care to admit that “we have no commitment”.   It did not escape my notice that Syria did not try to stop us with their massive air power when we staged that failed rescue mission of James Foley in early July.  The mission was perfectly executed.  The operation was a success but the patient died.  So they are now saying “Perhaps Syria is kopecetic to the idea of us going into Syria to clean out ISIS infiltration.   Although when you look at a map of ISIS territory it looks a hell of a lot larger than “the state of Indiana’ or whatever they said it was.   It almost seems like contrary to all those John Mc Cain photos posing with ISIS leaders, that now suddenly we and Assad are best buddies or something- working for a common cause now.

In terms of the witnesses in the Michael Brown Ferguson Mo shooting- - there is an excellent editorial by Laurance O Donald on MSMBC where he takes on a very badly written New York Times article.   This article prints these catch phrases the police use, and uses phrases like "a dozen witnesses disagree with the eighteen year old friend in dreadlocks, and you can see his testimony.  The phrase "coming tword the officer" means he had already been shot - - repeatedly.  He was shot while fleeing- - this is illegal use of force right there.  Shot more times he lowers his hands formerly raised in the air (and the autopsy points that he one time had his arms in the air) and now grabs his stomach doubled over and then falls forward.   I've seen this phrase "a dozen witnesses" all over the internet- but nobody has produced them.  Nobody has produced all of this "conflict of the witnesses" you hear so much about.  All of the best witnesses - - the ones with the best view and most detailed and smooth flowing testimony- - agree with Darian Johnson's testimony.   Johnson was grilled by the FBI for four hours, and I presume he never varied from his original statement.  You know, a polygraph would go a long way twords establishing who is telling the truth.  But I've heard from several sources that the local PD has not interviewed witnesses at all and apparently DON'T WANT TO HEAR anything they say.

Some things you hear and alarm bells go off.   The prosecutor in the Ferguson shooting case has at least three close family ties to police officers.  And the clincher is that his own father who was a policemen, was shot and killed by a felon who grabbed the gun out of his hand and shot him.  A dark part of me wonders whether Officer Wilson didn’t know this and may have completely fabricated the story about the wrestling with the gun.   This is what I don’t get because there were no marks on Brown’s body indicating he had been in any physical skirmish with Wilson in the car- - and if there were a skirmish - - I just don’t see how some witnesses can say that Brown slammed the car door on Wilson- - and Wilson himself says just the opposite that “No, Brown opened the door and came in the car and we wrestled for my gun”.   But Sean Hannity is a liar if he says “Oh I’m perfectly a disinterested neutral party and if anything I think the officer is guilty”.    You only need listen to Sean’s other remarks.   “Wilson was stopping two dangerous criminals who had just strong-armed robbed a liquor store” and then, in case anyone was unclear how Sean feels said “Their story about just being stopped because they were walking in the street- - is a Lie”.   This is what Sean Hannity said.  Sean also then said “We have to make sure the WRONG SIDE of this particular issue doesn’t gain media control of the news about it”.   Sean Hannity may have known about these three close family ties- when he said “Just let the governmental process play itself out” even though Hannity dismisses the three first eye witnesses who had the best view of what happened.  Certainly Hannity knows the most credible testimony is consistant from the very beginning- - not stick your finger in the air and see which way the wind is blowing and then craft your testimony.   Of course on Days of our Lives- - we know Christine Di Mira is the quintessential flight risk, she is a lying and highly manipulative person and her crimes are based on these personality attributes- - she is from a criminal family - -  of virtually unlimited financial means- - and Christian lied flat out as to the circumstances of her capture.  There is “bought and paid for” justice in this country.  Now any government would not insist that a prosecutor recruise himself in a case like this is beyond me- - because now we know the outcome of the thing IS pre ordained.  And if the rioters knew this too- - they’d still be rioting.

The big news was her Sea Ridge condo which Mom sold to this lady in 1999.   This is in Dana Point where there was some kind of weather damage.  The homeowners assessed a fee on everybody.  I thought the damage was only twenty thousand but the daughter of that lady Mom sold the place to took out a second mortgage for $196,000 - - which to me was suspicious in itself.  But then she wanted Mom to give her a loan of an additional $350,000 for “improvements to the place because I plan to move in after I retire”.   There were red flags all over the place.  She’s been subletting the place illegally because the homeowners association doesn’t allow it.  So she’s been getting a steady income.  But now that is going away, and if she retired that will be more loss of income, and apparently there is still some damage to the place that wasn’t fixed, which means a further drop in equity.  Not only that but every conversation has been of a Christine Di Mira manipulative nature to “get the other person to act right away without thinking”.   There was also some provision in the original Mortgage her mother signed that said that upon death, the balance was immediately due and payable.  This was ignored.  Paul believes we should be nice to her though because Mom’s legal footing is not as certain as we would like- - because somehow the “lean” on the property was “lost” as though title just vanished into thin air or something.  (?)

(last night - narritive in progress)  I had an ice cream sundae for desert, it was custom order.  I had half vanilla and half chocolate ice cream with caramel sauce- - and walnuts and whipped cream.  I’m puzzled how that dark spot got on the table clock because I don’t remember spilling any.  We went back to her place and talked considerably longer.  Mom was curious about whether I had contemplated relationships with any of the women around here.  I told them that we had changed the smoking area to only the back parking lot now and Allan said “It’s probably because they know the wind will blow the smoke away from the building.  Mom asked about Bill and Olivia.  I had not lost any additional weight when I weighed myself before dinner but freely admitted I’ve lost weight the past few weeks.  We’d spent over an hour in the dining room.  There was some solo violinist playing the Masterpiece Theater theme.   They asked me about ISIS and foreign policy but it was clear nobody wanted to talk about politics this night, which was just as well.  Tim and Judy compared notes about back exercises each is instructed to do.  The topic of Allan’s rumored retirement never came up.   Maybe he changed his mind.  There was a little talk about how overbearing social services are with family care law.  Judy made her pitch for the methylated B vitamins and notably methyl folate and B 12.   Allan said “That’s interesting” but otherwise had little to say on the subject, and there was no response when I suggested Tim might be interested in looking at the videos on the subject.

I think AT&T is slowing down my internet services but Judy disagrees saying that if I de-fragged and did disk clean up, it would speed up.  Not in this case.  I’m paying more for less service.  Last night I got home just after nine and Donnie was already holding open the door.  I got my medication.  Back in here Bill says Elizabeth was taking towels out of here yesterday.  She took the big towel and left the little one and now I have another problem that needs dealing with around here besides the lamp, and failure to confirm an appointment.  I didn’t see Elizabeth this morning.  I did get late coffee from Glen and went down twice to smoke before retiring.  I woke early at five fifteen and went out to smoke while pitch dark.  When other people were around it seemed almost conversationally jinxed because there was complete disinterest in anything I said about yesterday.  I went to the store just before seven- - and that truck guy was preparing his cup and when he went to talk to Ben I thought it would be OK to pour myself the coffee, but it was still brewing.  I only had it off the pot a second or two but Ben was all over it with a rag, and made remarks about me always being in a hurry.  This brought to mind an awkward conversation about two months ago based on an event that didn’t even happen but Ben thought it might.
