Hard Wired for Prejudice

In this month's issue of AARP magazine was a novel article in it. It said that our brains are dezigned to send out "vibes" or something to interlock with vibes of other people's brains. Of course they say that negative emotions release poisons into the system and positive emotions release endorphans to make you feel better. But it appears to go beyond that. It's almost as if other people's thoughts have a magnetic field affect on our own. I remarked off line already that this would mean that Christians pick up on my negative thoughts about the religion without my having to say a word and that Holy Spirit protection device kicks in and they either avoid me or lash back (as in the case of the Asshole from El Paso) Well today Thom Hartman was saying the same thing. He said we as a human species was "hard wired for prejudice". They say that it's in our nature "naturally" to be giving and perform acts of kindness tword others because doing so make us feel more worthy and increases our self esteem. But there's also a protectiveness that kicks in like a mother protecting her nest or her cubs even at the risk of her own life attacking entities much bigger than herself. Of course it's also known that a father's drive is to perpetuate his seed and so will often kill the cubs who were sired by a rival suitor so that he can spread more of his seed. But this drive tword protectiveness also enters into the reality of group think and mass sociatal prejudice. You often hear how a croud will "react as one man" to attack a certain outsider, like a suspected witch. This tendancy to protect our own innocent ones from "the outsider" is a deep, biologically based one. Once I was at a Bible Study in March of 1972 where in talking about this scripture in Romans 8 about creation yearning to be free, we talked about plants react when you water them and how if you go to crack one egg, all the other eggs in the carton also react. I've heard other things. They say that parts of a cell often work together on construction projects to move particles of nutrient or something else from one part of the cell to the other. Vines in time lapse photography will send out feelers moving around searching for something to attatch themselves to. And of course we know of of the arctic tern who is a bird who while there is still plenty of food where he is will signal and all of the birds will fly south to Argentina or some place, but if a bird stays behind it will be too fat to fly. Learning behavior in animals definitely seems "hard wired into the system". I guess it gives you a new appreciation of God. We only hear about stuff when things go wrong but I suppose it's time we thought about all the times things go right and we pay it no notice.

Of course this "Us verses them" phenominum can have dangerous consequences. It's kind of the danger of incramentalism. Like boiling a frog by gradually raising the heat of the pot the frog is in. The Nazi party practiced incramentalisum. First it's just a small stepping in a civil right or you have to "report" stuff you didn't have to report before. But then groups begin being persecuted but you think, "Well, the government must be acting on secret information we know nothing about and if we knew how serious the problem was we'd understand". Of course if all of this sounds fermiliar it's because the Bush Adminestration is using all of these rationalizations. Obviously if the Jewish death camps were set up in 1933 instead of 1941 there would be howels of protest to have Adolph Hitler recalled. But it's a gradual numbing process. Of course Christianity is the same way. If October 1987 had occurred in October 1976 instead, I'd have jumped ship right away. If those eleven years inbetween had just disappeared and never happened I'd have never acclamated myself to the bizzare ways of thinking a Christian engages in. The clarian call was issued this morning. We have two full years of George Bush left to go and we don't know what is in store. We are hoping Bush can work with congress as he said in this morning's news conferance. We hope some energy bill gets passed. We hope for an increase in the minimum wage, and for a fair immigration bill. Perhaps this accomplishments will occur. But what other things will occur? We're already looking at thirty to forty thousand troops sent to Iraq "for a few months". People say "we're increasing troops in order to finish the job". We're "doubling down" just like a gambler does. As Captain Piccard says, "In for a penny, in for a pound". With the new congress Bush should be hanging off the ropes like Rocky in 'Rocky X" if there is one. More to the point by now you'd think Bush would be face down on the mat and bleeding from the ears ready to accept any and all democratic terms. But Nancy Palosi seems to be adopting a roll over and play dead policy. I'm not seeing any Republicans cringing in fear at the investigations that this democratic congress might launch.

Thom Hartford pointed out all of the times since April 19th. 1995 that there have been caucasion terrorist threats from the right wing. There seemed to be a massive haul of weapons and plans every few weeks involving the plot to explode this or that government building. If President Clinton had wanted to he could have declared a state of emergency hysteria and caused panic in the streets. But Clinton was too responsible and restrained to do this. Racial profiling doesn't always make sense. Thom mentioned old ladies being involved in explosives at Moscow airports. Often contraband is stuffed into child's toys such as a teddy bear. The Moslem Empire extends from Moraco to Indonesia over a multitude of races including Pakistan, Iran, and the Philipines. You can't blame everything on the Arabs. World Net Daily and Ken Galliger are both trying to incite some sort of anti Islamic hysteria. They are using that word "Islamo-Fascisum" again. These people are saying that there is a conspiracy by the left wing media to lie about the true hostile intent of Islam. Now today I read that the President of Iran expects the "Immam Mahdi to appear at the end of time along with Jesus Christ, who will announce that he's now a Moslem". And the Immam Mahdi will rule for seven years. This will no doubt set off panic alarms among fundamentalist Christians. [time for a topic change]

Once upon a time there was a guy named David Stanley. In mid November of 1989 his guardian angels knew he was going to die this day so an angel stopped him as he walked along the road and gave him an itinarary of the coming events in the world. Stanley reads, "Let's see - - Senator Cranston elected to another term. In late 1990 Noriega invades Costa Rica and George Bush sends in troops to push him out. Late in 1991 Maruo Cuomo declairs for President and wins in the 1992 election. His increased tax policies throw the economy into a tail spin and drives up the national deficet to a record 550 Billion. No. Nothing particularly unexpected here". When he gets to the intersection of Lincoln and Holder a high speed car making a left turm runs him down like a bowling pin and he's dead on arrival. But what they don't know is that David Stanley thought he was still alive and kept on in consciousness. Who is to say such a thing isn't possible. We think what we experiance is real but in reality any one of us could be the target of some giant illusion hoax like "Moriarity" was in that Star Trek episode where his whole destiny could be held in the palm of your hand. You have to admit some unforseen things have happened since Nobember 1989. But what nobody knew was that David was on his way to the computer lab at Cypress to record more on the adventures of "Dorian". This was David's day off because of Vetterans day. Otherwise he'd be working. Dorian was the 3rd. child of Lucy [I don't want to get sued so I'm deleting this next part] He was born right around the turn of the decade in 1950. But what they don't know is this child was sold to a Satanic Cult at the age of two or so. At the time Lucy and girls lived in a Medeteranian style house and some beatnick style cultists with long hair and beards would meet at her house, and one of them would play the accerana. The guy who ran the computer lab at Cypress would later delete this contraversial entry. At some point the boy was taken to Lake Athabaska, Canada. It was quiet there, but there were a lot of mosquitos. To come full circle I'd like to cycle back to picking up psychic vibes and shorten this us. Some of the "vibes" I received I suspected were from Nicholas, who was a sixteen month old boy in November 1989. I think I was picking up vibes from him. Let me give you a few more and you can read the April 30th. update of Rocca Rolla for a few more. When I was a boy I had conversations with imaginary people. (big surprise) Two of them were "brothers". One was taller with blondish hair and the other was shorter and darker and had curly hair. Sometimes I would "be" the one brother and sometimes I'd "be" the other. Both had similar rather German sounding names. One time I was with this "brother" and we were in a house where we both listened to some colored boy (a "mellow yellow") play his guitar because he was tallented. He was perhaps eleven. One of the boys ended up dead. He drowned at "Crenchaw Beach". This is an area that may actually exist by an area where Crenchaw was closed off. I dreamed about seeing the yellow ribbin and the street being "closed off" in November of 1988. In December 1987 I had another dream about a scene involving a strange car chase occurring "sometime in early June when there was an almost full moon rising in the east". You just take it all and piece it together. Nicholas code name with the Federation is "Ice Cream Phoenix". You see, If I really died in that intersection in November 1989 than everything since then is just my own imagination and not real. You may think what you know is real but you could be having the same illusion I'm having or you may not exist. Or perhaps if you're reading this you may think HAL is writing this. I was going to talk a bit about HAL but we'll save it. There's so much I didn't get to.
