I wanted to talk about Time travel. Back in 1988 I sent someone in the media the proposition that in space folding, one usually didn't have a problem with landing on the other side in the same time frame (though mirror reversed). But I added "In some unusual cases one encounters gravimetric distortion that shifts time". First of all we need to expand our minds. People have various explanations for why we are even "trapped" in the particular time we are. The most comon is the "soap bubble" analogy, which illustrates the big bang. The big mental stretch here is portraying three dimensional matter is a flat surface with no "center". In this analogy, as in the Planet of the Apes movie as we mentioned in a recent posting, it is postulated you could circumnavigate the entire universe by traveling in basically a straight line. However I'm not sure Einstein ever used this analogy himself. However analogies lend themselves to being taken too literally and this is the danger here.
